The opening ceremonies are open to the public

In a ceremony presided over by the town mayor, the Bossier City sportsbook opened its doors. The first bet was $200,000 and was placed by a local person. The press release did not say what the gambler was or what they bet on.

Things were a bit more transparent in New Orleans.

The first bet at the sportsbook was $1,000 on the Saints to win the Superbowl, which was placed by former New Orleans Saint Rickey Jackson. He was given odds of 4,000. The United Negro College Fund will be the beneficiary of Jackson’s $40,000 profit if he wins. Financial assistance was given to black students in the U.S. by the UNCF.

Jackson was accompanied at the opening by Archie and Cooper Manning and other people.

President of Caesars Digital Eric Hession told the press that “these great openings are a credit to Louisiana citizens, our Team Members, and the visitors who come to these historic resorts.” Serving Louisiana’s wonderful clients and passionate sports fans makes us feel like we are a part of the home team.

We embrace the opportunity to provide guests with even more unforgettable experiences, from our retail sportsbooks to our elevated World Series of Poker Room.

The largest poker room in the state will be at the New Orleans casino. It is time for Louisiana poker players to shuffle up and deal.
