The casino in New Orleans will open a poker room this fall

The World Series of Poker Room will open this fall at the only brick-and-mortar casino in the Big Easy.

The license for the Louisiana casino was extended for 30 years. The permit to keep the gaming monopoly in New Orleans didn’t come cheap.

Once finished, the complex will be renamed to Caesars New Orleans. Two of the casino giant’s marquee brands will be included in the sportsbook and poker room at the resort.

According to a release supplied today to Casino.org, the forthcoming Caesars New Orleans will offer patrons a Caesars Sportsbook. There will be 12 self-service betting kiosks, a staffed counter, and an expansive video screen in the sports betting space.

The sportsbook will offer an unparalleled game-day experience for Louisiana’s passionate sports fans and our many visitors to the area, according to Real. 178 patrons can be accommodated at the Caesars Sportsbook.

There is already a large sports presence in the Big Easy.

The Saints are one of the most popular teams in the league. The team won the Super Bowl in 2009, as well as the South Division title in each of the last three years.

LSU and the NBA New Orleans Pelicans have partnerships with Caesars.

The New Orleans poker room is being changed into a World Series of Poker setting. The largest poker room in Louisiana is located in the 5,000 square-foot space.

20 tables will be included in the World Series of Poker Room. On the main casino floor, the Caesars Sportsbook and the World Series of Poker space will be next to each other.
