The mega prize of CA$55 million was finally claimed by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation after the Friday, August 5, 2022, draws. After several weeks of accumulating, the main prize went to a Toronto resident. The prize winner has 52 weeks from the date of the draw to claim it.

The winning numbers for Friday’s draw of Lotto Max are 07, 16, 19, 33, 36, 48, 49, and Bonus 05, according to the Crown corporation. Everyone who has purchased a ticket for the draw is urged to double-check their tickets because they are located in Toronto. Signing up for the Crown’s winning number email alert can be done online, at a retailer or via the OLG App.

A ticket holder from Chatham-Kent claimed an Encore ticket worth CA$100,000 in the draw. The OLG reminded lottery players that someone from Toronto has won a CA$70 million Lotto Max prize on June 28, 2022. The winner hasn’t been found yet.

The OLG has reported that a local resident has won an impressive CA$6 million in a Lotto 6/49 draw. A second-place winner from the province won the cool CA$100,000 in the round that took place on August 6, 2022.

Over the last couple of months, Ontarians have claimed some big prizes through the fan-favourite Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49. The life-changing CA$60 million from a Lotto Max draw that took place on April 19, 2022, was claimed by the Hamilton woman in May this year. She won the largest online lotto win in the province by purchasing the ticket on olg.ca.

The 58-year-old Ms. Murdoch-Gerics has been playing the lottery casually since last year. She plans to spend the money wisely and take her loved ones on a vacation soon after she gets the windfall. She said that she is very honoured to be in that situation and that she is very proud to have won the prize.

Sarah Anderson was quoted as saying that a $55 million Lotto Max ticket was sold in Toronto.
