Unlicensed online casinos that provide i gaming software

An investigation by the Australian Communications and Media Authority found that Proxous had provided iGaming software to 13 unlicensed online casinos that were illegally marketing to Australians.

According to the investigation, Proxous had sub-licensed Real Time Gaming software products that are used in the casinos. The company was found to have violated the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 by doing so.

The casinos using Poxous licensed software are listed in the announcement.

All of the casinos use products and software that were previously listed as illegal by the ACMA and placed on a block list. Over 170 gambling websites have pulled their services from the Australian market since the ACMA first started blocking sites.

The ACMA has taken direct action against a corporation for the first time for selling software to an unauthorized online casino. Proxous is a company based in Hong Kong.

BetStop, a national register where people can opt to self-exclude from all online gambling websites and apps, was announced just a few weeks ago.
