The market in Ontario has a new licence

The Alcohol and Gambling Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has given the go-ahead for the sports betting website to be launched in the province. The gaming-related supplier registration of the B2B arm of the company allowed it to service Ontario with its trading and risk management services.

The licence was approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and will allow for the launch of sportsbook products in the market.

Major North American sports events such as the National Football League and Canadian Football League will be offered to wager on by consumers in the province.

The B2B arm of the operators was approved for gaming related supplier registration, which allowed it to provide risk management services to Ontario sportsbooks.

With the recent acceptance of our registration by the AGCO, we’re thrilled to now provide Ontario’s sports fans and gamblers with the best betting alternatives, said Paris Smith.

There is a robust, fair regulatory regime in place, along with a knowledgeable sports and betting audience, and we are excited to be able to take our ‘Winners Welcome’ slogan to the market and take Ontarian betting to the next level.

In June, it was announced that Ontario’s igaming revenue for the quarter ending 30 June came to a record CA$161m, the first quarter on record after the market opened in April this year.
