The gaming segment had a 22 percent increase in revenue in the quarter to June 30

Revenue in the gaming and systems division, which includes casino equipment, rose by 22.2 percent in the three months to June 30. In the prior-year quarter, such revenue was over US$57.4 million.

The gaming segment recorded a profit of JPY823 million in the three months to June 30, down from a year earlier.

The supply of casino slot machines and casino floor management systems is included in the gaming and systems division of the Japanese entertainment conglomerate.

In the casino gaming segment, the company operates in Australia and the United States.

Business profit in this segment decreased for the three months ended June 30, 2022, due to rising material costs worldwide.

The company said its profit performance was negatively impacted by rising raw material costs and amortisation of product costs due to a new title.
