The commission reappoints two people

Summary:

John and Jane were reappointed to the Gambling Commission’s board by Nadine Dorries, the UK Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. They will remain in their posts until April 10, 2024. A former partner of KPMG in Scotland and London, Baillie is a chartered accountant. The Audit and Governance committee of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority is chaired by Seddon.

The Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, Nadine Dorries, has reappointed John and Catharine to the Commission’s board. They will remain in their posts until April 10, 2024.

The Gambling Commission has eight commissioners who work for it.

A former partner of KPMG in Scotland and London, Baillie is a chartered accountant. He served two three-year terms as chair of the Accounts Commission for Scotland.

A member of the Reporting Panel of the UK Competition and Markets Authority for nine years, and chair of Audit Scotland for several years, Baillie was also a member of the National Audit Office. Baillie has held similar appointments at other Scottish universities and was a visiting professor of accountancy at the University of Edinburgh.

14 years of public service has been spent as a non-executive director for national regulators. She was the senior independent director for the Gambling Commission.

The Senior Independent Director of the Legal Services Board and the deputy chair and chair of the Audit and Governance committee of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority are named after him. She is a member of the board of the Children and Family Courts Advisory and Support Service.

The Human Tissue Authority and The Pensions Regulator are some of the organizations that Seddon has held non-executive and committee roles in. She sits on tribunals in mental health and employment, as well as being a lay assessors for civil cases in the county courts.
