The Bacta Social Responsibility Exchange will take place in November

The British Amusement Catering Trade Association (Bacta) will hold its annual Social Responsibility Exchange at the County Hall in London in November of 2022.

Bacta members will have the opportunity to share their best practices around social responsibility at the event. Elizabeth Speech, Chair of Bacta’s Social Responsibility Committee, will introduce it.

The Gambling Commission will be giving a social responsibility update at the event, as will the YGAM.

Russell Edge, Bacta Membership, SR and Compliance Manager said that the Social Responsibility Exchange will allow members to hear important updates on Social Responsibility from the Gambling Commission, YGAM and GamCare.

A structured forum for discussion around the tactics and strategies Bacta members are employing across the country will be provided by the day-long event. We hope that members leave the event knowing more about Social Responsibility and that they exchange their knowledge where they can.

The owners and operators of over 18 amusement centres, seaside amusement arcades, and the companies that hire machines to pubs, clubs, bowling alleys, bingo halls, and similar venues are represented by the trade body.

John Bollom was appointed as Bacta’s new Vice President last month. He assumed his new role after the previous VP announced his intention to step down at Bacta’s most recent National Council.

In a study of its members, the trade body reported issues in the recruitment of staff at seaside arcades and adult gaming centers.
