Evolution opened a live studio in Connecticut

The supplier of gambling technology is opening a casino studio in Connecticut and plans to hire 400 people, according to a statement from the governor.

Evolution’s live casino studio will initially hire 140 employees, but will gradually expand its workforce, employing staff members in technical, production, administrative and information technology positions.

On July 11th, Evolution began operations in the Constitution State, offering blackjack and roulette tables to a limited number of players being monitored by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection.

The commissioner for the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection spoke on behalf of the state and said that Evolution’s facilities and offerings meet the high standards of the state’s regulations and help “create a safe” environment.

Commissioner Seagull said, “We encourage anyone who chooses to participate in this new form of online gaming to do so responsible by monitoring their activity and setting limits for themselves utilizing the tools that are required to be available on these platforms.”

As part of its Connecticut license requirements, Evolution needs to operate an in-state facility and if the soft launch shows operations are compliant with state regulations, the company is planning to make its products available to customers at DraftKings.

Evolution already operates live studios in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Michigan, and the new casino studio builds on that. The launch of Evolution’s casino in West Virginia last month was powered by the studio in Pennsylvania.

Last month, Evolution opened a live casino studio in the capital of Armenia, Yerevan, to further strengthen its European and global footprint. After Evolution opened a tech hub in Lisbon, Portugal, the studio went live.
