The MGM Resorts Foundation gives the opportunity to MGM employees and guests to contribute to charity initiatives targeted at local communities.

Non-profit organizations that help regional communities in the areas where MGM Resorts operates received nearly $2 million in grants in the latest round of grants. The areas include Southern Nevada, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Northeast Ohio, the DC Metropolitan area and Western Massachusetts. Basic needs of the residents of these communities were the focus of the current grants. Initiatives that provided food, shelter, medical care, and mental health care were included.

Maria Jose Gatti, MGM Resorts International’s executive director of community engagement, expressed her deep gratitude to all of the contributors to the Community Grant Fund and highlighted the local impact of the initiatives that received the grants. MGM Resorts employees gave to more than 80 nonprofits that serve the communities where they live and work.

What is the location of the donations to the community grant fund?

Specific non-profit organizations that directly receive funds from the grant are not worked with by the Community Grant Fund. Various charity initiatives are selected during a competitive process, which is on a proposal basis. A committee of volunteers coming from MGM Resorts employees assesses the proposals and allocates the grants according to the regions where the company operates.
