The President and CEO of the trade association, who played a major part in the creation of Ontario’s iGaming market and the decriminalization of single-event betting, said that he was surprised by his introduction. He said that he feels blessed and privileged to be a part of the industry, as he shared that it is a tremendous experience to work with all the people in the sector.

His efforts to advance the sports betting field are not finished. He said that he will focus on enhancing the country’s land-based sector. Despite the launch of online sports betting in Ontario, the country still hasn’t opened sportsbooks across its territories and this will be one of his main objectives for the future.

One of the biggest challenges for the local gaming sector is to keep up with the rapid advances in technology in the gambling industry, according to Mr. Burns. There are constantly new products for fan engagement and predictive tools in Canada, and he commented that the country has a great ecosystem for innovations. Industry leaders need to make sure that the evolution continues.

It is latest to join

The Canadian gaming association issued a statement to congratulate the local government after the province started its i gaming model.
