It has been a long time since Elements Casino Chilliwack was able to contribute to charity. For the first time in several years, the gaming amenity made its annual payment to a group of local charities. The cheque was worth CA$192,560 and was presented to officials.

The casino and the KRLA signed an initial 20-year agreement almost 10 years ago, through which the organizations secured a share of slot machine revenue for the collation and 49 charitable and non-profits. More than CA$ 3.5 million in casino revenue was reinvested into the region by the group of Chilliwack charities after the partnership in 2012.

Since the emergence of the unprecedented situation in 2020, this was the gaming amenity’s first payment to the Knight Road Legacy Association. The last one, which the group received back in 2020, was a portion of the casino’s fiscal performance. The original owner and operator of Chilliwack Bingo was the group.

Great Canadian Gaming Corporation decided to change the name of Elements Casino Chilliwack to Chances Chilliwack Casino. The property’s gaming amenities were expanded to make it more appealing to locals and visitors. The casino became the seventh one of the company’s Elements brand.

In September of 2021, Great Canadian Gaming Corporation announced that it had received regulatory approvals for its acquisition from Apollo Global Management. The company’s shares were purchased by Raptor Acquisition Corp. for the price of CA$45 in cash and thus completing the multi-million-dollar transaction according to the arrangement and section 288 of the Business Corporation Act of B.C.
