Addabbo Jr. Mr. Addabbo is the Chair of the Senate Racing, Gaming, and Wagering Committee and he vows to make sure that the harness sport is properly presented and its needs are met.

Representatives from the Empire State’s both State Senate and State Assembly have participated in previous events. In addition to that, the MGM Yonkers International Trot will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022. The US$500,000 Robert Miecuna Invitation Race is one of the races that will be part of the meet in 2022. Before the start of the unprecedented situation, this will be the track’s first international trot since 2019.

Local non-profits are being helped out

A few days ago, Empire City Casino announced that it would be donating over 100,000 dollars to eight local non-profit organizations. The casino’s employee and guest-funded Community Grants Program have accumulated the money. The grants were given to organizations that provide crucial services in the core of the company’s philanthropy areas and its staff members.

The eight organizations are Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York, the United Way of Westchester & Putnam, the Greyston Foundation, VISIONS/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired, BronxWorks, and the Guidance Center of Westchester. Each organization received a large cheque which will be used to fund its social purpose activities.

The United States trotting association said that New York State Legislators would compete in live races.
